Twisted

What's twisted? Repo Men is. That's a new movie I think. Or not. I dunno. 8TV was giving out free tickets for the movie, but when we went to cineleisure there wasn't much ppl in the hall and there was two time slots left only. either the earlier ones were booked or there was just those too. Hmm.

Anyways, the movie is set in a age where artificial organs are mass produced and obviously, people have to pay for them. The catch is, if you fail to pay up, the organ will be repossessed by the company by the repo men. Since me, daryl and zhong yuen were hooked on the red Ibanez at Bentley we got there like 20 minutes late, so I dunno what happened in the beginining. Still, watch it. It truly is twisted.

Speaking of twisted, Have a look at one of Santigold's MVs, L.E.S. Artistes. I doesn't really make sense to me, but then again I didn't really hear the lyrics, so I can't really say.

Or if you want, listen to the band who does everything fast. And when I mean everything, I do mean EVERYTHING. Guitars, keyboard, drums- every song they made has that going at full speed. Even the singing is moderately fast.

NO SHIT.

Here's something to please your ears, away from all the mainstream over-simplified electro sounds which has little respect to electronica. This is instrumental though. Want good electronica? Listen to James Yuill.

OH NO!

As you would have noticed, Primal Vader is no longer on the header, leaving a empty void. It seems that an unscrupulous individual has deleted him. Therefore, I present to you his heir- the unwilling Atsuki Vader! Until I find back Primal Vader, which i probably won't, Atsuki Vader will have to stand guard.

(not really a)Visual Treat

Finally, some pictures! And everyone knows that a picture says a thousand words, so why not?
Note though this was done with a lousy 2mp cellphone camera... I wanna a proper cam, but i feel it's a big waste of money XP

This one was taken from a cup- a very nice one, I might say- The inside of the cup is a dark brown, hence the effect.

Lack of little kids playing is worrying, eh?

JULY.

Hey, the bruise the disappearing! Who knew it would be so fast. I dunno whether it can be counted as a bruise though, It looks more like internal bleeding, reason being that instead of black and blue, its black and RED. Yes, red. Yesterday, it ran almost the length of my whole nose. One dark red strip. Now though its more like a blob of dark red ink trickling down my nose a little.

Anyway, to the title.

Here's July, a really smooth song by Drake.

Sports Injuries

Sports is dangerous. When you are not paying attention.

Of course, that happened to me.

"ZHICHUNG!"
"Wha-"
WHACK!
"Owww..."

That happened during basketball. I do not know why, but I think I was looking at some other thing at exactly an 90 degree angle to the ball's trajectory. So, when I finally realized it, my face turned around just at the right moment and got squished by the ball.

No joke. Come to think of it, in a way, the warning actually caused it, not prevent it... Haha. One for the list of warnings gone wrong. I'm pretty much fine now though, except for a black mark that I have accumulated.

So,

SCREW MAPLE.

Ironic huh? I ran into hell lot of problems just trying to register for maple. First, Nexon sent me a email asking me to click on the link to verify. Instead, that link brought me back to the register page. Then I used a different email. This time they didn't even send the goddamn verification email. WTF. Then AVG blocked maple. And again.

I think I'm just gonna stick to COD and Grid.

And I finally did my maths homework! Chapter 7 Proability! I should count the proability of me doing my maths hw then.

And I really hope Akta Angkasa comes out with a album soon cause these guys are seriously good.
I can't find Deepset's album too.

Yet.

Herd Mentality

I am about to start Maple again.

I think there will be people saying 'WTH?" after reading the above sentence. I was actually influenced to play again though, no thanks to Jessica, and since she had got a group of friends to play too in a new Malaysian server I figured I might as well join in.

Anyways, it will be a welcome distraction from Race Driver Grid; the races in there are getting more and more intense and hard, especially on the Pro leagues and the Global league. Need to concentrate really hard and drive really fast just to get third place.

But I don't think it's really a matter of skill. I think its more of grid position. Team Ravenwest is always on pole position, while me and my team mate are usually 6 places behind. Fighting my way up from that position is always adrenalin-filled, edge-of-your-seat moments and rushing into corners with nothing more that intuition, especially when your opponent dips his rear into the gravel and kicks up a cloud of dust. Even though I break the lap record on every lap, I still can't get past them. Its like they have the best of everything: grid position, cars, etc etc.

Enough of that though. Even though we are required to work hard, sometimes being lazy can also be beneficial. Therefore,

LAZY PEOPLE SCORE
Win:
No need to yank out pages that were stuck on the wrong pages when teacher give the wrong instruction beforehand.

No need to cry in agony when you can actually copy that super-long rangka karangan in your book as it is instead of copying it on the test paper first.

Less High blood Pressure

Healthier because body's functions are put on less strain

Waking up late and missing the bus that was hijacked by terrorists

Lose:
Grilling by teacher for not doing homework

Grilling by boss for reaching work late

The paper that you have not stuck may go missing

The bus may instead be hijacked on a later time, when you are on because you couldn't wake up

Arteries may be blocked because of not enough excercise.

CONCLUSION:
It's a tie! People should be selectively lazy or hardworking like a plasma membrane :D

Virtually Eating, ....

After what seems like a century, I clicked on Restaurant City.

Behold! It's now available at night! There was also a new system: instead of feeding your workers food and energy, you pay for how many hours it is open! Perfect for lazy people like me!

I know it's probably old news to most of you, but I really did not open it for a very, very long time...

I guess it also signals its diminishing popularity, with people getting tired of the pay-to-feed routine that requires constant maintenance.

Later!

"Now that takes commitment,son!"

I'm pretty sure that that's a quote from a movie. Maybe in a movie about war? More probably from a father-son comedy.

I finished all my homework! All that i know of, more like.It wasn't as hard as I thought, actually-- three berpandu essays, two umum essays, 4 moral essays plus a set of pictures for the moral project to top it off.And NIE too, but Dan says not to care about it. This is the first time I'm doing the project, so I might as well take dan's word for it.

Its a sunday afternoon, and I'm getting the signature feeling of these afternoons. Depressed, and a tad sad. Tomorrow is, after all, the end of hols. Anyways, here's the conclusion:

WIN
1. Toy Story 3! One damn good movie, totally lived up to its hype, and more, plus a dark twist!

2. The Karate Kid- more like The Kung-Fu Kid, but besides that minor hitch, awesomee!

3. Badminton/Jamming combo with the Three guys and a Girl and Stanley- We did La Bamba! Search the song on youtube. And nearly busted Stanley's ears.

4. Race Driver Grid- Its back on the computer! Hell Yeah! A blue colour streaked with red and green is gonna hunt you down, Artificial Intelligence!

5. Fraser's Hill- Udara yang sangat SANGAT nyaman.

LOSE
1. Running plan- FAIL. Didn't run at all.

2. Too much computer- Burns your eyes out XP

3. Risk Boardgame- Still stuck under the cupboard

4. Tasik Kenyir- ALL the rooms were booked. WTH?

Well, that's pretty much it. Fingers crossed for no more homework!

Long Time Coming

Its been a while, but blogger has finally launched a template-designing feature for blogger. Maybe because of competition from tumblr? Speaking of which, I had abandoned tumblr for like a year already, but i still like the 'smokey' picture and green background.

I know that there's been a lack of updates, even though its the holidays... But then again, its usually the time where most people sacrifices blogs for TV, games and so on... Ironic, isn't it? Usually we have no time to update, and yet now we still have no time to update.

Even though there has been a lack of excercise whch I have promised to myself to do, at least I didn't waste too much of it. I went to Sunway's holiday programme! Lecturers, atmosphere was good, though the food they had for us left me longing for the food sold instead by the other stalls set up in the cafeteria. Good variety too, there was even a stall selling 'authenic Iranian cuisine', bundled with words that sounded like they were lifted straight out of the Quran. The content of the workshops were also not bad, for RM20.

For some crazy and unknown reason all my tuitions were held early in the morning. Chemistry- 9.00 am. Add Maths- 8.35 pm. Too early la, i tell you, especially when one sleeps earliest at 12 everyday.

Also, I have been trying to get a car under control in NFS Shift. And no, the game is not very good IMO. It is said that it has a good balance between a realistic and arcade feel, but I think its just too little of both. Not as precise as Gran Turismo, not as easy as previous NFS games. The feedback is lousy and laggish. i would press the turn button and the car just does not turn. Split second later, it suddenly intercepts it and twists the car off the track. Blame the preset settings for that. Race Driver Grid does a much better job in this half-half feel. Either that or its just that I haven't adapted to the game yet. I won't be wasting much time on the game now though. I have already given it its due.

Shit.FM

I just listened to Hitz.FM and they just played Taio Cruz, Jason Derulo and I-Yaz back to back.

It was one of the most annoying three in a rows I have ever heard. And I use "one of" because none can compare to Nelly Furtado's Timbaland-produced 'hits'. Until now, I could still remember the irritated and desolate feeling it gave me everytime I heard the songs. Even Promiscous felt that way.

But enough of that. On to the Three in a row.

Main reason for the hating? Too many prominent beats. Yes, synthetic, computer-generated beats. Not even real instruments. Just claps, for god's sake. To top it off, I just woke up. It gave it a major headache. No damn wonder why I gave up on radio.

Still, I rather end on a more positive note.

Gil Scott Heron, people!

No Need Read Book!

Since the mid year exams have ended, I guess I'm forced to update for your sake.

Yes, you, Reader, YOU!

Just joking. But I'm knida out of material right now.

Hold on... Is that a Lil' Wayne song? Seriously? Why does it look (and sound) like High School Musical?

Why are the lockers so rainbow-ish?

And is that him really playing the guitar? Looks like it, but haters are writing him off as just posing...

Well, judge for yourself!

Attention!

This blog may cease to have any updates for at least 3 weeks, what with the impending exams and the need to study enforced by my parents.

Still, that does not kill my appreciation for good music. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm starting to have some faith in the korean music scene.

But no, Super Junior and Kim Hyun Jung fans, my thoughts remain unchanged about them. Super Junior is just a large dance group trying to sing. No offense. And screw Kim Hyun Jung and his disgusting index finger ad.

Anyways, Epik High!

Oh, and add Serj Tankian's Elect the Dead Symphony songs too!

Misused terms

Is it possible to sprain your knee? I certainly felt that way during that jumping on rails incident on Sports Day. Sports day was fun, right up until that stupid moment.

Anyways, I got a fever sometime in the evening after sleeping. I've heard of reverse psychology but this? Wasn't i supposed to get better?

I went to a doctor, and the price for that leg injury? RM 85, fever medicine, antibiotics, two packets of painkillers and a cream to sooth and heal my knee.

So ironic it is that I wasn't even a participant and i got myself injured. Proably the only injury of that day.

To those who defy,

MAC tomorrow.

If we do not go, we are discriminating against the teacher's efforts in organizing the event.

Seriously, why don't you people just keep it short and sweet? 7:30 in the morning to 12? Fucking shooting yourselves in the foot, man. As was proven in the MAC rehearsal/raptai(whadever weird word that is) the prize giving took just one hour. What the hell are we supposed to do for the remaining 5 hours?

I'm already scared of the speeches.

Razorlight!
In the morning you know he won't remember a thing
In the morning you know it's gonna be alright

RANDOM.

TV3 had their usual Bollywood movie this afternoon. After a well-welcomed session of basketball, I and my brother and my father ordered a whopping Incredible Meal2 from domino's for just RM50. Two regular pizzas, plus the banana kaya dessert thing , BBQ-ed chicked on a stick and two orders of starters. We were stuffed after that, so we just watched sexy indian girls with waterproof mascara dancing. The movie was quite entertaining. No, not just because of the sexy indian girls with waterproof mascara. It was funny. And they don't shake their heads.

Come to think of it, Bollywood movies are kind of like a few music videos mashed up together with a few cutscenes woven in between. The singing and dancing does last for 4 to 5 minutes, and the dance routine could do Britney Spears proud.

No more swearing!

So reports The Star. According to them, "...at present, content providers were suspended temporarily for sending SMS or short codes considered offensive, indecent slanderous or false."

And that was before. Maybe now every message that we type-swear in will be rejected. =O So much for SMSes being reverse psychology, though that might not be very accurate, since my understanding is where people get de-stressed. And studies have proven that swearing does help reduce stress.

Gaaaaaaaaaah. De-stressin. Message rejected.

Personally, I think graff should go 'round in art galleries. Show Picasso and the likes about eccentricity with more striking colours.

Yeahhh!

Do not judge food by its price.

My mum took my family to Ms. Read for their english afternoon tea special. All in all, it was okay. I think we got the eating order wrong. We ate it from top to bottom, not the other way around, which its supposed to be =p In case you don't know what I'm talking about, the food is served in three plates, stacked up on a mini metal tower thing for plates. Uh-huh.

The bottomest plate was interesting. Some tasty thing with with duck's something in it. Nice, a little crunchy and the familliar texture of meat hidden inside. Then some sandwhiches with a little caviar, i think. Looked like caviar. Second plate gave me a headache. Because of the scones- thick biscuit-bread which you somehow slice open and put the jam. Too thick. taste buttery. Headache!

They gave some other biscuits too and chocalate truffles-hand rolled, apparently-plus chocalate dip. Them truffles were nice. My sister thought the cocoa powder was overly bitter. Nonsense, They were wonderful. Pure chocolate dough!

The last plate was a cake of your choice. We chose the Mango one. There's a bit of yoghurty feel about it when it goes into your mouth. Its sweet, but like mixed with a bit of bitter. Hard to put a finger on. Thick, though.

Sorry, no pictueres. i don't have a camera, and my phone died on me again.

Alley Oop FAIL

Alley Oop (en. wikipedia): An offensive play in which one player throws the ball near the basket to a teammate who jumps, catches the ball in mid air and immediately scores a basket, usually with a slam dunk. The alley-oop combines elements of teamwork, pinpoint passing, timing, and dunking.

In this mornig's badminton/basketball, we tried the alley oop.

CHECKLIST
teamwork- free practice, so doesn't count.
pinpoint passing- whad?
timing- not bad, but half fail :D
dunking- FAIL x100,000

Haha, that didn't go so well. Fun though, when you try it yourself. Throw ball, ball bounces back, catch ball, throw ball in mid air.

My badminton racket on the other hand, felt supremely light after so long of not handling it. Like a breath of fresh air. Somewhat literally too.

The drop of lead

You'd say its quite wasting. Close to a hundred bullets emptied into a limosine just to make it explode. Of course, I'm just talking about a game, more specifically, GTA4. Yes, I hear your groans. Whats the fun in shooting people and driving like a maniac. Actually, half maniac. Full maniac mode is Burnout Paradise.

Still, it was a mission to stop a convoy of the target. I had used some car that looked like an audi to pump the aforementioned 100 bullets into the limo, exploding the target together with it =D!
I smashed into a barricade of police while shooting backwards, then out-manouvred them. Suddenly the front and rear tires on the left popped. Ran to get the nearest car, which unfortunately was an MPV. I drove it off a bridge.

The burning wreck is the MPV. Looks like the other car caught fire too... By the way, don't worry about me. I'm on the bike! Click to enlarge. Its a really big picture.

//RESTART

Light bulbs flicker. Switches blinked on and off.The familiar chatter of turning cogs resonates again through the passageway.

The Blog is alive!

It has been a long time, way too long.

After getting a boost of energy through a long lunch at Dragon-i I finally had the enthusiasm to sit down and start typing, following my recent abuse of the WSAD keys on the keyboard. Exams had just ended, and while sejarah had dampened the mood a little it didn't do much damage, IMO. What's done is done anyway, people.

I'm still musing about what to do during this one week of rest. My number one rule is not to stare at the computer screen. Or any screen at all. I rather feel like cycling all the way from BU to wherever. Except, it wouldn't be good if I got lost. And possibly end up of the wrong side of the border. But then again, it would become a road trip, wouldn't it? And take a year. I feel like going island hopping around malaysia, with Tioman, Pangkor and such. Plus Sarawak. Damn.

Funny thing at lunch today: My 3 year old cousin, who's hooked on Ultraman, saw this box of figurines in a shop. Naturally, he wanted it. But his granfather, who usually buys him stuff, is not around, so he asked my father: "Ni you qian ma? (Do you have money?)" My father said no. Little boy continued for a few more times. then gave up and came to me and asked me: "Ni you qian ma?" instead. LOL XD Damn outspoken.

Durian Runtuh

I have a ten dollar note still under my stack of clothes in my cupboard. I just realized that I had put it there just to hide it from my brother and maid because my wallet wasn't with me at that time... Just shows how lazy I am at times. CNY reveals all!

Boy finds money under clothes while packing!

Happy Chinese New Year!

Courtroom battles have never been so intresting.

Mohd Saiful says Anwar is charismatic, but seriously, would you let your 'charismatic' boss sodomise you? Without putting up so much as a fight? Unless Anwar is so charismatic that Maohd Saiful turned gay, or he was gay.

Pussy!

But then again, tengok muka dia pun boleh agak ialah 'soft' punya.

But whaddaheck, it would be so much duller if it Mohd Homo did not pull the story out. The response has so far been sensational!

But then again, I feel kind of sorry for Mohd at the same time, him having to go through every detail of his alledged sodomization and his subsequent anal exam.Plus the charismatic part. I think that was uneccesary. He could have just said the Anwar was influential. That would have nearly the same meaning, minus the gayness, no?

Anyways, I just watched Universal Soldier and The Fantastic Mr. Fox. I bet you can easily guess which is the better one. Universal soldier, in short, is not a movie. It's a load of shit. Basically from the twentieth minute, its a string of mediocore action sequences stringed together. Not light as a butterfly, but brutal and heavy.

And that's about it. The movie ends with the lead UniSol jogging away for no apparent reason while the military comes to pick up the hostages he has saved. Then the credits. I was sitting in my seat thinking "What the fuck?".

Mr Fox, however was a good movie. Tounge in cheek, stop-motion-like animation and hyped up at times, that was 1 hour 20 minutes well spent. Its based on a book by roald dahl. Basiclly, at the barest, its about a fox who robs three rich farmers, gets into trouble with them, gets back at the, sees a siberian wolf somehow when he escapes and happy ever after. Pretty simple, eh?

Then again, everything is.

Please summarize the following month: January

It was in the blink of an eye, wasn't it? So fast, like greased lightning.

Anyways, in the month of January, yours truly has:

1. Accumulated a huge backlog of homework

2. Not listened to Pn.Ooi at all this whole month and ended up doing one maths question on the board really, really long.

3. Not understood Pn Chuah's add maths teaching.

4. Become an ahli koperasi.

5. Been cursing a certain Lyndon Low for designing the school diary so badly and Datin Proton Wira for letting the stupid fucker actually do it. Don't they know that we actually have to pay for that thing?

6. Also been cursing at the designers of the school's sports shirts. WTFBBQ gangster hoodie detailing on the back? Teguh Bersatu somemore. More like Teguh Bersatu Menjadi Hodoh.

7. Laughed at China's severe censoring. even their national channel is called CCTV.

8. Digging Hellaflush!

9. Been trying to construct an easy listening playlist. Not succesful.

10. Last, but not least, screwing up the Buku Pencegah Ponteng!

Blue Tounge signing off.

Blue tounge will replace Bluetooth!

Connected on a Tuesday Afternoon

Today my parents forgot and left the modem and router in the house, with lights a-flashin'. So i'm blogging from this time, though its gonna be pretty rare for a next time.

Today was a breakthrough of some sorts for me. First, I can tick the box for my "finish homework' resolution. Though I'm still fuzzy about which book I'm supposed to do my maths in, which resulted in maths 4 beoming maths 1 and vice versa, at least I don't feel that bad doing homework in front of Pn. Ooi, though she is teaching quite a lot of form 3 stuff now.

Second, I understand what my add maths tuition teacher is talking about now! Inversion of functions. Luckily she is showing the class more examples now, so if my mind wonders somewhere else by accident, I can still catch the next explanation and jump back on the track.

I think I've got to give the song that I have been waking up to credit too. Fear of corners by Dntel. Despite the name, the song is relatively neutral. Its an instrumental, and consists of simple beats and some blips here and there. So, I don't dread waking up anymore, but of course still take time to haul meself out.

6.00. Time to go, then.

"And this is my right hand man, Number two."-Dr. Evil

No, school wasn't that bad. I still can't get myself to do my homework though, but i'm working on it. Something that hung over from last year.

Another something that hung over from last year too was Pn. Tho. I finally understand my addmaths! I can't keep up with my tuition. I mengantuk, my tuition teacher on Pluto already. All that shit with f(x)=1-x/1+x etc, etc.

Second week as pengerusi and im still being blur and getting grilled by Pn Lim ML. Wei Siang says its perfectly normal, in his experience. Thank god for naib pengerusi-s. Thank you to Gabrina and Jessie!

So, new year resolutions not yet completed. Haha, even worse, im now stuck in a book. In A Dry Season by Peter Robinson. Hebat! That reminds me of the Brands ad. Totally unhebat. Suck. What's suck in malay? Menghirup? Wtv la...

Here's a nice song:

Second week into the 2010

Is it too late to make new year's resolutions? I know I hav not posted here for a verrry long time, and its because I wanted to post up the Hanoi log thingy first, but obviously Im too lazy so far. So, my first resolution is,

UPDATE FREAKING PHOTOS.
Maybe by next week? If im not too busy with school stuff.

KEEP MY MOUTH SHUT
So that I don't keep insulting my sister, which leads us to:

KEEP MY SISTER'S MOUTH SHUT
So that I wouldn't get more ear damage, but that would be a direct violation to the purpose of Rule No.2.

DO HOMEWORK
Haiz, terpaksa laa

FINISH Batman: Arkham Asylum
Its nagging me in the back. Plus, its really a great game.

K.I.S.S.
To prevent all my cars in NFS Prostreet from looking like Frankenstiens.

Well, thats about it. I also had my first guitar lesson of the year today. Teacher says I'm good for a beginner. Whoo!
